AG BLUR

I was driving along Hwy 101 the other day when I noticed a silver BMW 323Ci coupe coming up on me. In the front was a Euro license plate that said "AG BLUR". He also had California plates that said "AG BLUR". I was going over this in my very cynical and sarcastic mind that here was a guy, who had the balls to get vanity license plates that said "AG BLUR", which I interpreted as "Silver Blur", but here he is driving a 323Ci that didn't appear to have any mods whatsoever. If you take the stock 323Ci with a maximum bhp of 170@5500 RPM and a 0-60 time of 7.46 seconds, there's no way I wouldn't be able to spot this "blur" more than I wouldn't be able to spot my grandmother walking down the sidewalk towards me (God rest her soul).

So I am thinking, with all the drivers who love their car, why wouldn't they choose a vanity plate that's more appropriate to their vehicle? Something like "AGDRIVE" or "AGHANDL" or "AGBIMMR"? If I was putting anything with "BLUR" on my license plate, my car better do 0-60 in <3 seconds and a 1/4 mile in around 7 seconds to be a "blur".

What does this have to do with driving experience, you ask? Well this blog IS about my Daily Driving and I just happened to want to write about this particular "AG BLUR" guy (whoever you are in the Bay Area!) and express my cynicism at his choice of vanity plates. Tongue out

Until the next time, don't drive past me with a vanity plate that says "BLKDEMON" unless you're a) driving a black car and b) you're going to eat me for lunch on the street!
